The Kid In Fronter

Bicycle is a great way to take the kids to school or Crèche. As this Dublin cyclist demonstrates, the frame is a great spot for the child to sit on whilst the parent can put an eye on and protect the offspring.

I took the photo on the 22nd of April 2013 in Portobello by the Grand Canal. And there is a slightly different version of this photo:

The Boarder

 The Boarder

I find Boards.ie quite useful. So I thought it's a good idea to take a picture of a cyclist wearing their shirt.

Blimey, I'm not sure where exactly I shot this photo. I took the picture somewhere in South Dublin, I think it was Rathfarnham (or was it Terenure?). It was on 19 June 2012 for sure, bless the Exif (should use geo tag as well in future).

The Suitcase Holder

On the one hand, the traffic in O'Connell Street is restricted. On the other hand it is open for the most dangerous type of motorists, uncontrollable bus drivers and careless taxi drivers. And don't forget pedestrians who might J-walk in any given moment. Thus cyclists should aspire to have as much control as they possibly can over their bike. Holding a suitcase in one hand doesn't serve this concept faithfully.

Oh well, in most cases it ends up without any casualty. I took this photo on 28 April 2014 in O'Connell Street.

PS, speaking of bicyclists and suitcases, don't forget our traveller from Terenure. They could make good friends.

The Green Family

Taking the kids to school on bike is green and considerate to the environment. In some cases, like in the case of this mother and son above, they're literally green. So Irish.

Taken in Portobello on the 18th of April 2013.

The Skateboarder

On your mark, get, set, go!

Committing to cycling isn't exclusive. Once can keep skateboarding if one wishes.

I stumbled upon this interesting cyclists in Rathmines on 20 May 2013.
Oh, and unlike this skateboarder, he's actually a cyclist, not a pretender. :)
